The Historic Woolworth Building is one of the most beautiful edifices in
Medford Oregon. When the corner lunch spot, (formerly, “Spoons”) became available, we knew we wanted to do something special with the small, Take-Out Only venue.

Having the name “Luncheonette” in the back of her mind for decades, the opportunity finally presented itself to Chef Alicia Dawn, whom would make the little kitchen her own in April of 2023.

With a love of all things vintage (her grandparents being DeRock’s Antiques) and a 20 year culinary history behind her, Alicia stepped up to offer something delightfully new to the Downtown Medford lunch scene.

Luncheonette Gourmet Take-Away features a new take on the old Lunch Counter fare by offering locally sourced, organic, gourmet ingredients on a seasonal menu, providing healthy lunch staples (and a few decadent choices) that when paired with the retro vibes and quick friendly service are a winning combination.

The history of Woolworth’s Luncheonette (new and old, as seen in the pic here, in Bakersfield, CA) lives on.
